Jazzona is a duo/trio that peforms jazz standards and smooth jazz as well as pop, country and rock favorites.   Jazzona started when guitarist Bill Applegate, and woodwind player Doug Mossing came together with the desire to perform great music that anyone can enjoy. Elise Hurst adds a real touch of class with her vocal stylings.

One night when Doug and Bill were walking through the wild jazz desert, they decided to create a musical oasis that people of all walks of life could enjoy.

Jazzona is the perfect group for your party, restaurant, or corporate event.  Elise's voice, stage presence, personality and charisma makes her an amazing entertainer.  Doug has played in Bands since he was in High School, performing in rock bands on sax and organ, irish whiste in Celtic groups as well as Sax and flute in several dance and jazz bands.  Bill has a Masters degree in Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas State's premire jazz department. Bill has performed as a solo guitarist, and with a wide variety of professional groups and ensembles. He has had the opportunity to perform at such places as Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, and for such people as President Bill Clinton and Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Jazzona Dance Band is an exceptionally versatile professional dance band that performs a wide variety of styles including Classic Rock, Pop, Jazz/Swing Standards, Tangos, Polkas, Line Dance and Country. They have an amazingly full sound yet are never overpowering and the perfect group for your next event.

Past performances include the annual Shriner's ball and the Arizona State Fair.
